White Tailed Eagles
The Whie-Tailed Sea Eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla), was re-introduced into the UK in the 1970’s and is the UK’s largest bird of prey with a wingspan of up to 2.4m. Known locally as ‘flying barn doors’ these images were taken on the west coast of Scotland. White-Tailed Eagles largely eat fish but also will feed on carrion and will take birds, rabbits and hares.
